"The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre." John 20:1
The gospels of Mark and Luke read that Mary and Mary Magdalene arrived at the tomb, "very early in the morning". The gospel of Matthew records, "as it began to dawn", the women arrived. We can deduce from all of the gospels that Jesus did not rise from the dead at sunrise. So, please tell me Christian, why are you engaging in this practice with no biblical support? If you truly want to observe the time that Jesus rose from the dead I believe it would be more appropriate to assemble during the darkest hour of the night. Symbolically, it was the darkness that Christ conquered. So, where does this sunrise service custom come from? There is no mention of it in early Christianity.
The sunrise service comes from sun worship most notably Baal, the sun god. In ancient cultures false pagan gods from a conquering empire would be imposed upon or sometimes freely accepted by the defeated foe. Most all of the ancient cultures worshiped celestial bodies that ruled the heavens being the sun, representing the male deity Baal in Babylon and Assyria eventually found its way into Canaan. The Persian sun god was Mithras which we find so much imagery in the Roman Catholic Church. The female counterpart to Baal, Ishtar or Ashtoreth represented the moon. The Babylonian moon goddess Ishtar became the Assyrian and Canaanite Ashtoreth. The crescent moon above the head of the pagan idol of Ashtoreth is the same crescent moon found within Islam. The Islamic, Allah, is an Arabian male expression of this same moon goddess and thus we find the crescent moon of Islam comes from the same origins as the others. These false pagan sun and moon gods have their origins in ancient Babylon during the rebellion of Nimrod. The Babylonian and Canaanite practices involved in the cult of Ashtoreth and Baal involved transvestite orgies, male temple prostitutes dressed as women and appeasement of these false gods often involved sacrificing infants by burning them alive (2 Kings 21:1-9)
Ishtar is still profoundly influencing well intended people today in the form of Easter. Easter is the Teutonic adaptation of Ishtar. Easter and Ishtar are both the female fertility goddess of Spring. The date of Easter is based upon the first Sunday after the first full moon following the first day of Spring. Do you see the interplay here of the sun and moon with the observance of Easter? Whenever Baal is worshiped then Ashtoreth is involved and vice versa. The pagan celebration of Easter is the perfect acknowledgement of both false deities. The date of the sunrise observance is based upon the lunar calendar. The scriptures and Christian antiquity do not support any of this. Passover is a fixed date on the Jewish calendar of Nissan 14(Exodus 12:1-6). Easter is not a fixed date because its based upon the pagan observance of the moon cycle.
I admonish you as Paul would admonish you: "Be not ye therefore partakers with them. For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. The Lamb has Been Slain
"And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst. And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost." Luke 23:44-46
As I write this post it is about the ninth hour of the day in the Eastern part of the United States. A day in ancient times was marked differently than today. A new day for us begins just after midnight. In antiquity of the first century the day began at 6:00AM. The ninth hour would be 3:00PM for us. The fact that all four gospels mention the exact time of death is significant. John 19:14 states that the preparation for the Passover began at the 6th hour(noon). This is when the sky turned dark. And the sky remained dark until the ninth hour at which time just prior to Christ giving up the ghost the veil in the temple that separated the Holy Place from the Holiest of Holies was split in two. This veil was like a woven rug 30 feet high, 60 feet wide and 4 inches thick.
Over the years I have read from different commentators that the ninth hour was the traditional time when the priests in the temple would slay the Passover lamb. Imagine the bewilderment that occurred at the temple that day when the veil was torn in two at the very hour of sacrifice. I'm sure it created quite a buzz down at the temple. Jews in the court yard were probably inquiring, "Hey, what was that sound in the temple?". While the priests were inspecting this spectacle in the temple they may have heard the final Passover Lamb cry out in the distant, "It Is Finished!".
The scriptures tell us over and over again that Jesus is the Passover Lamb. John 1 refers to Christ as the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. Paul told the Corinthians that Christ is our Passover. And in the book of the Revelation the only one worthy to open the book of life was the Lamb of God slain from the foundations of the world. Pay attention Christian. Jesus is the Passover Lamb and Passover has absolutely NOTHING to do with Easter. You blaspheme holy God when you invoke the name of a false pagan god in lieu of the finished work of Christ. The resurrection of Christ is NOT synonymous with Easter. This is why Godless wicked people have no problem celebrating Easter. You say, yes but they have Easter bunnies and Easter eggs and that has nothing to do with the resurrection. You are absolutely correct. Easter bunnies and Easter eggs ARE a part of Easter and have nothing to do with Christ so stop participating in this vile pagan ritual. The Age of Nimrod
I have seen these, "Pass it On" billboard signs for years and read them with reservation. There always seems to be an underlying humanistic, anti-God, anti-Christ agenda and, BINGO, it does not get more blatant than this billboard. I spotted this one 2 days ago traveling down I-95.
On the surface these "Pass it On" messages seem inspiring but there is clearly a globalist agenda here. I have written before that we are in the age of Nimrod and this is a perfect example of it. There is an asserted agenda of the globalist elite to create an ethnically neutral population. They think this will eliminate poor race relations which the globalist elite has created in the first place. Its the same lame argument that the civil rights leaders of the 60's used by claiming that poverty drives the crime rate up among black communities. Crime is a choice. And we see this evident among "professional" black athletes, politicians and even black ministers. More money will not address the sin problem of the heart but only make it worse. Look at Tiger Woods. He is the wealthiest person of color in professional sports yet his wealth and fame did not keep him from committing immoral and even criminal behavior. This story can repeated countless numbers of times among black athletes. More money does not stop their bad behavior. Creating an ethnically neutral person will not eliminate cultural discrimination. In fact, I believe it will make it worse.
God has the final word on all of this:
"And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech. 2And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. 3And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. All ethnicities came from one blood, Adam, but because of the wickedness of mans heart which is the desire to be a god, God Almighty determined to separate people by ethnicity. Man's determination to eliminate these ethnic distinctions coincides with the advancement of technology and indicates the impending judgement of God upon this world.

Suffering Saints
"Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God." I Peter 4:1-2
Peter directs the Christian to arm himself with the same mindset of suffering that Christ suffered. If we are to be "Christ like" does that not mean it is God's will that suffering may be a part of this new life? This concept of the suffering saint is completely contrary to the prosperity, feel good ministers of today. Joel Osteen, Joyce Meyer and Kenneth Copeland would never accept the biblical teaching of a suffering saint. Its antithetical to their heretical humanistic philosophies.
The suffering saint is also contrary to the false teaching of a pre-trib rapture that teaches Christians will be spared the great tribulation. Peter said that suffering is not something strange to the Christian but to be expected;
"Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy." I Peter 4:12-13
Suffering may be in God's will for your life and by faith we must not question it.
"Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator." I Peter 4:19
One may counter this teaching of the suffering saint by stating Peter was writing to Christians who would suffer under the Romans. But, the other New Testament writers had much to say about suffering and the benefit this brings to the Christian. Suffering causes us to turn the gaze of our soul heavenward. Suffering can wean us from the love of this world as it states in verse 4:2. Paul told us in Romans 5 to "glory in tribulation" and James tells us to "count it all joy when we fall into diverse temptations" because the trying of our faith brings forth patience. And Peter tells us that the trying of our faith is more precious than gold.
While prophecy in scripture may address a future event much prophecy also addresses immediate situations. Thus prophecy often contains a dual meaning in its foretelling. The following verses contain timeless, universal principles of the suffering saints down through the ages to the present and beyond that cannot be repudiated. Suffering is only for this short time we are on this earth. But the glory that will be revealed in us in heaven is for eternity.
"Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen."

Fear Vs. Afraid
"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction". Proverbs 1:7
The quality of Godly fear carries with it a transforming effect. Those who fear the Lord also trust the Lord and expect to hear from heaven. Those who are afraid of God avoid Him and choose to remain the master of their domain without regard for God. Adam was hiding in the garden because he was afraid. If he truly feared the Lord he would have not eaten of the forbidden fruit. At the heart of sin is mans desire to rule himself instead of God.
Those who fear the Lord live dynamic or very stable Christian lives. They have a positive spiritual impact on those around them. I'm not referring to someone who coaches little league or works at a soup kitchen. I'm suggesting someone who knows how to pray through to heaven, intercede for others and they live their lives with an expectation that God is at work in their personal life and those they interact with on a daily basis. When is the last time you attended church and went with a sense of expectancy that God was going to meet with the congregation that day? Jesus said, "you have not because you ask not". This idea certainly goes to expectancy of God meeting with His children. "Where two or more are gathered together in my name I will be in the midst". Sadly the congregation of the Lord does not want to acknowledge this presence of the Lord because the Holy Spirit searches the depths of men's souls and who on earth likes having the secrets of their heart probed?
Christians today are content with being afraid of God and thus they attempt to hide from Him in the foliage of their religiosity and good appearance. Their spiritual lives are reduced to some inspirational substitute that leaves their souls trite with shallow drivel. Come out from the bushes with Adam and abandon yourself before the sovereign searching Spirit of God.
Christians desperately need a stirring of the soul. Change cannot happen without some discomfort. The new birth can be a painful thing but joy comes in the morning. We must die with Christ in order to know new life in Christ. The body of Christ does not have revival because it does not seek it. Jesus told the Laodiceans, "I counsel you to buy of me gold tried in the fire". Christ is coming back for a spotless church and it will be purified by fire. Are you ready for the fire?
Prepare yourselves. Pour out your heart to Him and seek His will alone, not your own. He is coming to sift the tares from the wheat and separate the goats from the sheep. Are you in the right camp or the popular camp?

Faith Without Fear is Fruitless
"In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts." Isaiah 6:1-5
From Genesis to Revelation we see the fear of the Lord always associated with knowing the Lord. Adam hid in the garden when he knew that he had sin. He was terrified of God who called for him. Moses had to cover his face when he descended from Mt. Sinai for the glory of the Lord shown upon him and it terrified the Hebrew people. John the Beloved, the closest person to Christ Jesus while he trod this earth fell at Christs feet as dead when John saw Him in the Revelation. We cannot have truth faith without knowing the terror of the Lord. Solomon said that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. This terror of the Lord is the realization of our imperfection before the Holy God. We cannot truly know the Lord without knowing our disposition in relation to Him.
The modern church goes to great lengths to avoid the wretched state of man and emphasize the mercy of God without the holiness of God. The god of the church today is a permissive grandfatherly type who looks the other way. The God of the bible demands justice wherein the blood of Christ atones for our sin but does not change our helpless state before God. We are utterly helpless before God and must not presume upon His mercy but like Isaiah cry out to Him, "Woe is me for I am undone". If the terror of the Lord does not compel you to prostrate yourself before the Lord then it will eventually consume you.
Down through the ages when God has manifested His presence and poured out His spirit it is always highlighted by people crying out to God for mercy. The true presence of God will always be accompanied with a sense of fear. I have heard many preachers say that this fear of the Lord is nothing more than respect. I say it is much more than just respect. When I was a lad and did something wrong I feared/respected my father who may give me a whippin'. Jesus said, "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." I guess if you don't believe in hell then this will mean nothing to you but Jesus said it is so. The fear of the Lord goes well beyond just respecting Him.
I can recall two distinct times when I experienced the terror of the Lord. The night of my conversion God revealed to me the reality of hell and it was truly terrifying. About 2 years later I experienced the fear of the Lord in a less haunting but no less holy manner. I was in a period of protracted prayer. I was prostrate on my face worshiping the Lord when suddenly the room began to glow. The presence of God was so overwhelming I actually had to ask God to stay His hand. I will never forget that breathless moment in which time seemed to stand still. I guess one could say that was something like an epiphany. I have known the terror of the Lord.
Paul said, "knowing the terror of the Lord we persuade men". Perhaps that is why there is much less evangelism occurring today because pastors, bible colleges and seminaries no longer preach or teach the terror of the Lord. Its an uncomfortable topic whereby our souls are completely exposed to the all knowing, all seeing eye of God.
In the second verse of Lo! He Comes With Clouds Descending it captures the terror of the Lord that will be revealed when He returns to earth;
Every eye shall now behold Him. Robed in dreadful majesty!
Those who set at naught and sold Him, Pierced and nailed Him to the tree.
Deeply wailing, deeply wailing, Shall the true Messiah see.
Dear friend, it was our sin that nailed Christ to that tree. Please, if you do not know the terror of the Lord on this side of eternity then you will not know the joy of the Lord on the other side of eternity.
We cannot know the reality of God's mercy in our life until we have seen our souls in the light of Gods holiness where we cry out to God, "have mercy on me for I am not worthy".

Jesus said, "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." I guess if you don't believe in hell then this will mean nothing to you but Jesus said it is so. The fear of the Lord goes well beyond just respecting Him.
I can recall two distinct times when I experienced the terror of the Lord. The night of my conversion God revealed to me the reality of hell and it was truly terrifying. About 2 years later I experienced the fear of the Lord in a less haunting but no less holy manner. I was in a period of protracted prayer. I was prostrate on my face worshiping the Lord when suddenly the room began to glow. The presence of God was so overwhelming I actually had to ask God to stay His hand. I will never forget that breathless moment in which time seemed to stand still. I guess one could say that was something like an epiphany. I have known the terror of the Lord.
Paul said, "knowing the terror of the Lord we persuade men". Perhaps that is why there is much less evangelism occurring today because pastors, bible colleges and seminaries no longer preach or teach the terror of the Lord. Its an uncomfortable topic whereby our souls are completely exposed to the all knowing, all seeing eye of God.
In the second verse of Lo! He Comes With Clouds Descending it captures the terror of the Lord that will be revealed when He returns to earth;
Every eye shall now behold Him. Robed in dreadful majesty!
Those who set at naught and sold Him, Pierced and nailed Him to the tree.
Deeply wailing, deeply wailing, Shall the true Messiah see.
Dear friend, it was our sin that nailed Christ to that tree. Please, if you do not know the terror of the Lord on this side of eternity then you will not know the joy of the Lord on the other side of eternity.
We cannot know the reality of God's mercy in our life until we have seen our souls in the light of Gods holiness where we cry out to God, "have mercy on me for I am not worthy".

O For A Thousand Tongues To Sing (Hymn with words and music) - Charles W...
This timeless hymn has a wonderful story behind it. John and Charles Wesley were Anglican priests. They were both Oxford graduates. During John's time at Oxford he formed a small band of men who were earnest in doing good works and living pious lives. This small band of whom George Whitefield was a member, was known as the Holy Club.
In 1735 John and Charles sailed to America to convert the Native Americans in the Georgia colony. During the voyage a terrible storm threatened to sink the ship they were on. John and Charles were terrified along with the other passengers yet they observed a small group of Moravians who exhibited an unusual calm during the storm. Those Moravians exhibited a faith in Christ that the Wesley's did not have but desperately sought. The Wesleys returned to England after a short time in America where John stated, "we went to America to convert the savages but who will convert us?" Their memory of the Moravians stayed with them and would later influence them greatly in coming to a saving knowledge of Christ.
In 1738 John sat in a meeting at Aldersgate in London where he heard the reading of Luthers commentary on Romans 5:1 "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" In that very moment he felt his heart "strangely warmed" whereby he trusted Christ alone for his salvation and not his good works. Three days earlier Charles had also come to saving faith in Christ. The Wesley brothers had been Anglican priests for 7 years with no assurance of salvation. From that moment on these two men changed the course of history in Great Britain and North America. The Methodist movement was born which was a spiritual dynamo for nearly 100 years.
John's preaching attested to this conversion and Charles hymn writing also attested to his conversion as we see in this timeless hymn, "O For A Thousand Tongues to Sing". Such depth and testimony of true conversion few have been able to pen as Charles Wesley. I have sung this hymn for many years but never heard the tune in this Youtube video. Every time I listen to this version it brings a tear and shout of joy. In heaven we will sing music like this, not the trivial and vain stuff that is peddled today as "praise and worship". This hymn became a personal anthem for John and Charles. Every year on the anniversary of their conversions they would sing this hymn. It became a spiritual birthday song for them. A Little Talk with Jesus? Don't Waste Your Breath
That old gospel song, Have a little talk with Jesus, always made me cringe. Whenever people tell me, "I will say a little prayer for you", I want to tell them, "Don't waste your breath". When is the last time anyone told you, "I will fervently supplicate for you before the Lord and bombard the heavens in pleas for you"? I once knew a woman who prayed for me like that. I was a young preacher, still in Bible college. Goldie Livengood was a spry 80 years old who could run circles around people half her age. She was a real prayer warrior. She knew how to summons the throne of heaven. I once visited her in her home and she showed me her prayer list. There were about 20 names on that list and I was humbled to see my name at the top of the list. When she died a part of me died. I truly felt an absence in my life. That woman knew how to reach heaven.
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16
I want to focus on the second part of this verse from James. There are 3 things that make prayer dynamic:
1. Effective praying. How does one pray effectively? One cannot pray effectively unless they pray. When I was a young Christian, 2 years old in the Lord, I was very effective in my prayer life. I remember one night sitting around a table with 11 other people in my discipleship group. I was the newest Christian of the group. The leader went around the table asking each person how much they prayed every day. On average everyone prayed about 10 minutes a day. When she got to me I was doubly embarrassed because I prayed 2 hours a day and did not think it was enough. My prayer life was so passionate that when I lay down to sleep at night after praying I could not wait until I awakened in the morning to pray again. I thoroughly enjoyed communing with the Lord. God answer my prayer because I remained in a constant state of prayer in all that I did.
One of the most tell tale indications of this answered prayer was the means in which I evangelized. I rarely ever approached anyone cold turkey with presenting the gospel. God would lay on my heart specific people that I worked with and I would shed tears of sorrow over these people that the Holy Ghost would convict them of sin and make them hungry to know the Lord. Every person that I ever prayed for like that would at some point approach me and ask questions about God. I have had agnostics and even people hostile to the gospel make honest inquiries about God. I have seen the results of effective prayer. Effective prayer is God moving in us.
2.Fervent prayer. I have alluded to this already. There are times that God will lay on my heart a particular individual and my praying for them is stained by tears. This is called intercessory prayer. Intercessory prayer is standing in the place of another before the throne of God praying with a passion that the individual you are praying for may not have themselves. Fervent intercessory prayer is effective prayer that availeth much.
3. Righteous prayer. Before we can truly intercede for others we must have an intimate relationship with God on our own account. Intimate relationships of any kind take time to develop. We cannot have intimacy with God unless we spend real time with God. A little talk with Jesus will leave you way short of this intimate relationship and effective prayer. The effectual fervent prayer of a RIGHTEOUS man avails much. If there is known sin in your life forget it. The only prayer you should pray is forgive me God and help me get right with you. Sin is a killer.
The context of James 5 is patience. Patience in the midst of suffering. I must confess my fault as in v.16 and say that I am still cultivating that intimacy with God that I lost many years ago. My prayer is not as consistently effectual and fervent as it was many years ago. But I do long to return to that kind of relationship with God. This may explain some of the recent health issues I have been having. Nothing better than a health problem to teach us patience. And patience must be a part of any intimate relationship. Oh yes, we must learn to be patient with God but more so we must learn to simply be patient with life. God is the master of exercising patience with such rebellious creatures as we otherwise we would all be in hell right now. I praise His holy name for His patience.
One thing I learned many years ago about prayer is that passionate pleas for others more often seem to get Gods attention than passionate pleas for my own situation. I remind myself that God chastises those whom He loves. If you never experience the chastisement of God then its something that should be of concern to you. I'm not saying that God does not answer prayer as it pertains to my personal life. Our personal prayers are often too selfish and lack faith in God almighty. Passionate prayer for others especially for the souls of others is selfless prayer and a sweet incense to God.

Understanding our Times
My previous post, Understanding God, seemed to get many views in a short time. I believe it speaks to the hunger that people have today to know God in the light of His word and not popular, politically correct notions. The God of popular culture churches is NOT the God of scripture. The popular church is a friend of the world and John said that those who love the world do NOT love God. It behooves us to understand the times we live in.
I've referred to this before but it bears repeating. I believe we are living in the Age of Babylon revisited. History is repeating itself. It does not repeat itself in a continuous timeline as we often think of the passage of time. Rather history has been descending in reverse from the time of Christ until time will be no more.
We are currently living in the age of Babylon. This current age parallels the time of Nimrod by two distinct features;
1.Technology. Fired bricks to build the tower of Babel was a huge leap forward in technology. Nimrod was attempting to literally build a tower to reach the heavens. I viewed a video wherein an MIT professor duplicated the fired bricks of Babylon and estimated that with a large enough base Nimrod could have built a tower 10,000 feet high. Technology in the last 100 years has advanced so rapidly that man does not have time to adjust to these new inventions. The technology is outpacing mans ability to adapt. Prior to the 20th century any new invention that changed the way people lived would occur every 200 years or so. That means people had 200 years to adapt to this life changing invention. Not any more. We cannot adapt. Look at what has happened to an entire generation of millennials who are hypnotized by their phones, unable to communicate with people around them and completely oblivious to the world outside of their technology.
2. The other distinct characteristic of the age of Babylon today is ethnic neutrality. Pay attention to advertising in particular and you will notice more and more people who are ethnically unidentifiable. Nimrod was determined to create a unified people all with one language and no distinct ethnicity in an attempt to overthrow the throne of God. This same mentality exists today. Globalism is a rebirth of Nimrods ethnic neutral world. This angered God who had determined the people groups of the earth are to be distinct and separate as defined in the table of nations in Genesis 10;
By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.v. 5,These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues, in their countries, and in their nations.
V.20, These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.v. 32
Three times we see in Genesis 10 God declaring these ethnic groups are to be separate and distinct. When Nimrod rebelled against Gods will in Genesis 11 God scattered the people and confused there language.
So the Lord scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. 9Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the Lord did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.
Language alone is divine evidence that God's will is for ethnic groups of the world to maintain their distinctiveness.
Globalism seeks to destroy this God ordained social order. We are in the age of Babylon and the next age to come is the age of Noah. Jesus said that as it was in the days of Noah so shall it be at the coming of the Son of Man. Its best to read all of Matthew 24 to get the context of the days of Noah. We are fast approaching the tribulation and you better get ready Christian. Turn off that main stream media. Shun the influences of popular culture. You better tune out the Godless influences around you and get tuned into God almighty. Seek His face. Ask God to put a passion in your heart to seek Him and know Him more clearly. Great deception is in the air and permeating churches world wide. Jesus said it would be this way. Seek the Lord while He may be found because the day comes when no man can seek Him.

Justification and Forgiveness
In the earthly courts of mortal man when one is found innocent of a crime they are justified. There is no need of forgiveness because there is nothing to forgive. In the celestial courts of heaven every mortal being is guilty before Almighty God. "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23. "There is none that doeth good" Romans 3:12.
This is another of many distinctions of God that make Him otherworldly and His ways not our ways. The justification of the believer is inextricably linked to the cross of Jesus Christ. It is there at the cross where justification for our sin was satisfied yet we still stand in need of forgiveness. The work of justification is complete in Christ. There is no priest, bishop or pope who can appropriate the work of justification to our souls. Baptism, communion or any other sacrament can not appropriate the finished work of Christ to our account.
The modern church does not teach a spirit of brokenness or sorrow for sin. It believes that justification and forgiveness were automatically bestowed upon every soul on the planet and one does not need to acknowledge and turn from sin. Even so-called evangelical churches today have accepted an "easy beleivism" that does not count the cost of discipleship nor acknowledge the dreadful state of the sinner before God.
Davids prayer in Psalm 51 is the perfect example of how one must come to God in order to find forgiveness of sin and appropriate justification to our account. Forgiveness of sin does not happen unless we acknowledge our wretched state before God and ask forgiveness.
Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
2Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
3For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.
4Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.
5Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
6Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
7Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.
9Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.
10Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
11Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
12Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
13Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.
14Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.
15O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.
16For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering.
17The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

19Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar. Psalm 51

Understanding God
"O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?" Romans 11:33-34
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:8-9
We can never fully know God while on this earth and even in glory we will not comprehend the magnitude of God. But by God's grace and mercy we can know Him well enough for salvation and a meaningful existence in this mortal life that can bring glory to Him.
There were and are people chosen by God to know Him in a more intimate way. God's prophets. Enoch, walked with God. Moses saw the glory of God. Elijah heard God's "still small voice" and among men born of women there was none greater than John the Baptist save those who are least in the Kingdom (Matt. 11:11).
God has always had His chosen few who seemed to have a little more understanding of the nature and character of God and it was these people whom God used to call His wayward children to repent and return to the paths of righteousness. If ever we needed true prophets of God it is NOW.
Quite frankly, if any of the 12 apostles anonymously came into your fellowship and pointed out those things within your fellowship that are inconsistent with the nature of God you would throw them out of your church. Churches today are more concerned with tradition than truth. And I'm not referring to "traditional" churches. Even the nondenominational churches are more stuck on traditions than biblical truth. The apostles would not recognize your church as a New Testament fellowship. They would easily identify the paganism that exists in your church. Paul would probably come right out and chastise most of you for heresy in the form of syncretism. You have allowed the Godless pagan culture around you to influence how you perceive and worship God. Your ecumenicism literally makes God want to vomit (Rev. 3:14-19)
And you who claim to be "bible believing" churches yet embrace Roman pagan Catholic practices God may judge you even all the more harshly for you rebuke your liberal ecumenical neighbor but you have a beam of heresy in your own eye.
The reformation of the 16th, 17th and 18th century was not complete. There were too many trappings of ancient pagan Rome that remained and now pervert even those who claim a biblical theology and faith. If we are ever going to come to a clearer understanding of God we must rid our fellowships of paganism. Humble yourselves, admit you have followed traditions of men and not Gods' word alone.
Listen, Satan does not want to get rid of the church. He desires to pollute and pervert the Body of Christ. He does not want to destroy God's creation, Satan wants to distort and dilute it.
We cannot begin to understand Almighty God until we rid our lives, our families and our fellowships of the trappings of paganism and popular culture in our midst.
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:8-9
We can never fully know God while on this earth and even in glory we will not comprehend the magnitude of God. But by God's grace and mercy we can know Him well enough for salvation and a meaningful existence in this mortal life that can bring glory to Him.

Elijah heard God's "still small voice" and among men born of women there was none greater than John the Baptist save those who are least in the Kingdom (Matt. 11:11).

God Commands, Tear Down Those Pagan Christmas Trees
"These are the statutes and judgments, which ye shall observe to do in the land, which the Lord God of thy fathers giveth thee to possess it, all the days that ye live upon the earth. 2Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree: 3And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place. " Exodus 12
When I was in bible college my Old Testament professor gave a clear representation of the commands in the Old Testament and how they apply to us. There are 613 Levitical laws which God gave to the Hebrew children. These laws can be divided into two categories; specific commands and universal principles. There were some laws which were specific commands to the Hebrews such as Deuteronomy 22:8. When the Hebrews built a new house they had to construct battlements or parapets around the roof top. This was basically a railing to protect people from falling off the roof. While this does not specifically apply to us there is a universal principle involved here where we must be responsible for the safety of others on our property. Insurance is one way we fulfill this universal principle.
In the feature text noted above we find this command repeated over and over and over again to the Hebrews in Exodus, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, I & II Samuel and I & II Kings and again in Ephesians 5:11 and II Cor. 6:14. I consider this commandment to be specific and universal.
As a very young Christian in 1981 I could not understand where all of the traditions and customs of Christmas came from. They most certainly do NOT come from the Bible which means they are unbiblical. Christmas trees are found in the scripture and we are specifically commanded not to participate in this heathen activity;
"Hear ye the word which the Lord speaketh unto you, O house of Israel: 2Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. 3For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. 4They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not." Jeremiah 10
There is no defense of the Christian to support this pagan practice. Wreaths, garland and yule logs are all symbols of the prince of darkness yet you participate in these abominable things Christian? Do you think God is turning a blind eye? Even the nativity is a lie because it does not follow the scriptural narrative. The Magi were not in Bethlehem at the manger. They did not appear until Jesus was nearly 2 years old in his house in Nazareth.
Most professing Christians today who claim to be "bible believing" are also pagan practicing. When the Hebrew children were preparing to enter Canaan God commanded them to utterly and completely destroy everything that was pagan. And when the Hebrews entered Canaan God repeated this command. Canaan is a type of the Christian life. When one becomes a Christian all things become new and old things are passed away II Cor. 5:17. This command still stands today dear friend.
Its time for God fearing Christians who truly want to please God to throw off the shackles of popular Christianity and stand true to Gods word. Tear down that tree in your living room, take that pagan wreath off of your church door and heed the words of Joshua,
"14Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord. 15And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." The Deception of Constantine
I don't want to make a habit of posting videos or content from other sources but I cannot avoid this posting. In light of this holiday season where professing Christians engage in customs and traditions that have NO biblical basis I feel obligated by the light of biblical truth to pass this on.
The following documentary is from the History Channel. In general I do not like the History Channel and rid my self of cable television in 2010 when they admitted they were going to "reinterpret" history. This is probably the most honest documentary I have seen the History Channel do. I have done some of this research in a limited way, see my post, "Have a Drunken Christmas" but this documentary is very revealing.
Just keep in mind that every time they use the word, "Christian" what they really mean is Roman Catholicism. While the host of the documentary does not overtly make this connection he does make the statement several times that what Constantine was representing was NOT Christian and the subtitle of the documentary is "The beginnings of Roman Catholicism.

Earthquakes in Diverse Places
When we think of earthquakes in the United States most people think of California and the San Andreas fault. However, there are many other fault lines active today. I lived in Pennsylvania Dutch country for nearly 20 years and there is an active fault line in Western Lancaster county around Mountville. The New Madrid fault line in the Midwest is the most dangerous fault line I have read about. It could literally split the country in two if a major quake occurred along this line and it could create a cascading effect triggering the other major fault lines. The previous home I lived in was near a fault line in Summerville, SC a suburb of Charleston, SC. Three years ago I was sitting in my living room and heard a loud "boom". I knew it was not an explosive detonation or a sonic boom. This was a different sound that shook my house. About three miles from my house was the epicenter of the minor quake registered at 3.0 on the richter scale. There is seismic activity occurring frequently in this area. This fault line situated about 24 miles outside of Charleston leveled the city of Charleston in 1886 with an earthquake estimated at 7.3.
3And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? 4And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. Matthew 24
Jesus said that these things will be the beginning of sorrows and true believers, followers of the risen Lamb will be killed for His names sake. It behoves you to read the entire chapter of Matthew 24 and get right with God. Matthew 24 alone debunks the pre-trib rapture heresy. Get ready.

Silence Is Golden
While this ancient expression is not scripture the sentiment can certainly be found in Proverbs 13:3
“He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.”
As a young man I was very good at keeping my mouth shut. I was ignorant of the world at large and knew it. The older I grow the more vocal I am. This outspoken vocalization has cost me dearly over the years. It’s extremely difficult for me to keep my mouth shut when I see injustice or hear lies. When I reflect upon my early years as a Christian I recall that people were more apt to entertain what I had to say because I was not quick to offer my viewpoint rather I was more reflective and introspective. I have often prayed Proverb 13:3 when I am disturbed about something but I admit that it is not a practice I have mastered.
My enthusiasm for the Gospel of Jesus Christ has sometimes been counter-productive for the Kingdom, at least from this mortal perspective. God in His amazing sovereignty can take our faults and failures and make triumphs from them. His word is unfailing. I must rest in His Sovereign grace.
There are many things that Christ said that are truly mysterious and sometimes very uncomfortable. The truth can be and often is painful. In this politically correct world of hyper-sensitivity Jesus is no doubt considered a bigot and racist by many though they may not verbalize this. Today's snowflakes would be running for their "safe spaces" if Jesus were publicly preaching today. He preached more about hell and punishment of the wicked than anything else. I’m surprised the SPLC has not listed Jesus Christ as a hater. Consider the following verse;
“Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.” Matthew 7:6
Our Lord equates certain people to “dogs” and others to “hogs”. The swine reference is equating people to the lowest perceived form of life on the planet, an unclean animal. Apparently, there are people who cannot accept the Gospel. My Arminian friends may have a difficult time with that statement but that’s OK. I don’t wear any theological labels. God is sovereign and can do as He pleases.
“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12
I have seen the power of God’s word melt people and I have been the recipient of this two edged sword on many occasions. The word of God can move mountains, heal the sick, free the demon possessed and literally transform the wicked into saints. I have seen it happen. Yet Christ spoke in parables for a reason.
“10And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? 11He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. 12For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath. 13Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. 14And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: 15For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. 16But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. 17For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.” Matthew 13:10-17
Some may suggest that this statement applies only to the apostles but I see this to be still in effect today. “For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed”. No other time in the history of this world can this statement be more true than this present age. Just look around you and witness the chaos, mayhem dissension and compromise that exists in and out of the church.
In Matthew 11:25 Jesus said, “At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.”
I have, on more than one occasion, cast the pearl of the Gospel at the feet of swine in defense of the innocent and for this I seek God’s forgiveness. I have learned that the Gospel can be my motivation for helping the innocent but it should not be a weapon to attack the guilty. I have shared the word of God with those who are hostile to it and they trampled it under foot and attacked me just as Christ stated. The word of God must be treated like a loaded weapon. Don't point it at anyone without intent to use it. And when you use it you better be prepared to defend why you used it. I Peter 3:15 If you are going to use the word of God you better know it well and how to use it lest you bring shame upon yourself. The same is true with a loaded gun. Sometimes it's just better to keep our mouth shut. Silence is golden.

Are You Worldly?
"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever."I Jn.2:15-17
The only way we can love the world is to have an unbiblical perception of the world. What we think of the world, as John describes, must be fashioned by the Word of God and not the world itself. Unfortunately, the professors of Christ today have allowed their concepts of what is, "worldly" to be narrowed down to simply ones attitude about sensitive issues. Or they may simply equate "worldliness" with hedonism, greed or materialism. While worldliness may encompass all of these it goes much deeper than these superficial/tangible aspects of life.
Worldliness is how we think and move through life.
Accepting what is socially acceptable today is worldliness. Satan was defeated by an empty tomb nearly 2,000 years ago but he has not yet been deposed from his throne. "He is still the prince of the power of the air, the ruler of the darkness of this world" Ephesians 6:12 and an angel of light deceiving most people on earth. II Cor. 11
What influences you in your perceptions of what is happening in the world? Do you "go with the flow"? Governments are the source of nearly all public information that shapes the ideas and actions of its citizens. This country does not have a free press. It has not had a free press for over 160 years. We are not to have fellowship with unbelievers in any respect. Its one thing to be friendly to a sinner and another thing to be a friend with sinners. When you associate yourself with unbelievers and engage in the same activities with them you cannot insulate yourself from their influence. "Be ye separate and I will receive you". When we are bonded with the lost we are disconnected from God.
Satan is the father of lies, Jn. 8:44. All that Satan does is motivated by a lie. The commonly accepted most popular notions of slavery and Zionism in our society today are not biblical and thus they are not from God. For you to accept these lies is to be a friend of the world. Popular societal notions must be filtered through Gods word. We must consume Gods word until it consumes us and gives us the ability to detect the lies of the enemy. Ethnicity or Kingdom?
"3And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? 4And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8All these are the beginning of sorrows." In this discourse on the end times Jesus makes a distinction between nations and kingdoms. Americans, in particular, have little understanding of the nature of a nation. Most Americans think the U.S.A is a nation. I believe this confusion began during the U.S. period of reconstruction after the War Between the States in an attempt to create unity but instead it has created confusion.
In verse 7 above the word nation comes from the Greek word ethne from which the modern word "ethnicity" is derived. A kingdom would be more closely related to a country or system of governance and not a people. We can literally read the text as thus," For ethnicity shall rise against ethnicity..."
I have never read or heard of any concept of "race" in antiquity. People of the same race can have different ethnic backgrounds. Native Americans identify themselves more by their nation than their race,i.e. the Navajo Nation, Cherokee Nation, Sioux Nation, etc. During the American War Between the States the North and South were not divided just politically but ethnically. They were peoples of 2 separate nations and these distinctions are still evident today in customs, language and traditions. The British subjects who settled New England came from different social class and different regions of Great Britain than those who settled in the Southern colonies. Same race different cultures.
It is my personal belief that the idea of "race" is not of God. God divided the people in the earth more specifically by ethnicity. Wherever we find the words, "nation" and "gentile" in the New Testament they both are the Greek word, "ethne". It is my contention that God's will is that ethnicity's remain unmingled as defined in the table of nations in Genesis 10 and Paul's sermon on Mars hill in Acts 17 where he states, "And hath made of one blood all nations(ethnicity's) of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation. " Nimrod was the first globalist attempting to break down these God ordained borders and the globalists today are doing the same thing. Politically correct globalism is radically hell bent on creating an ethnically neutral person. Pay attention to marketing and advertising and you will see more and more models whose ethnicity is unidentifiable. This is precisely what Nimrod was attempting to create and God confused their language at the tower of Babel. Language alone is proof that God never intended for ethnicity's to mix.
Christian, never forget that the ways of the world are not the ways of God. Popular culture and the globalist elite agenda of social engineering is NOT of God but invites the wrath of God even upon people who may be well intended. The path of good intentions can lead straight to hell. We must be ever vigilant in prayer and discerning of the age we live in lest we fall prey to deception.
